In celebration of Women's Day, Light & Life Academy introduced "Everyday Icons - Women Through the Lens," an Instagram contest rooted in honouring the remarkable women who enrich our lives. From the comforting presence of a mother to the unwavering support of a friend, participants shared an array of inspiring stories.

With over 700 entries received, we are excited to showcase the top 50 images here and at an exclusive exhibition at the LLA Campus.

Light and Life Academy is perched on a mountaintop about 7000 ft. above sea level near Ooty,Tamil Nadu, India, with a spectacular view of the Ketti valley. A pollution free, serene setting, with up to three seasons visiting it everyday. The quality of light is perfect for the visually inclined students. Custom-designed by one of India’s most celebrated architects, Mr. Jaisim, the 50,000 sq ft facility, includes 14 studios well equipped with lights, light modifying accessories and grip equipment to help the students shoot every assignment given with all the time they need. The students will also have exposure to high end lighting equipment.
