Shoot From Homewith LLA is an initiative to make the most of our time on lockdown at home. Pre- Covid times had kept us busy with work and very little time to spend at home. So with the onset of this pandemic and all the mayhem that came with it, a lot of us found ourselves at home looking for something productive to do. SFHw LLA, thus, became an opportunity to use all this time to discover the photographic potential of subjects at home that we may otherwise have missed or even ignored!
In this Back- to – Basics series, we explored themes like Portraits and Still Life shots using window light, Macro Photography, Pinhole Photography, Abstract photography and so on. Every two days, a theme was put up on Instagram page encouraging people to participate using the hashtag #myquaroutine and #SFHwLLA. The central idea to all of these themes was to simply use subjects that could only be found at home.
7 Themes, 14 Days, Household Subjects Only… This was SFHw LLA and, the best part, this is only the beginning!
We are truly happy with the response to SFHwLLA! The level of creativity and interest shown by the participants, both Professional and Amateur was astounding. A testament to the fact that good photography is all about the photographer’s unique vision, not simply access to good subjects and lighting.
