Photo Journalism Course Kicks off, at LLA

The students of photojournalism had their first hands-on session with Mr. Desikan Krishnan a photojournalist with around 40 years of experience in the Media.

Mr. Desikan gave the students an introduction to photojournalism, shared with them his experiences as a photojournalist, gave them a feel of news room debates, caption writing & photo features after which he even conducted two mock sessions, one was a Press Meet and the other a mock VIP visit for our budding photojournalists to get a feel of what it is like to be on the field out there.

Asked what he felt about the first session with Mr Desikan, Photo Journalism student, Rahul Das said, “Mr.Desikan’s class was interesting in terms of how photojournalism had an impact on the society since the camera was invented. We learnt how to do photo-features – a single story picture to a multiple one. I also remember him quoting Robert Capa who had said,“If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.”
