An alumnus of FTII Pune. He has worked as Cinematographer with eminents Directors K Balachander , Naga & K Hariharan on television serials . He has worked with Asianet Satellite channel working on a variety of television programmes , Also shot 3 feature films , besides documentaries and corporate videos . Over the last 15- 20 years he has been focusing largely on Academics. He has served as Head of the Department , Cinematography at Satyajit Ray Film & TV Institute , Kolkata and at L . V. Prasad Film & TV Academy, Chennai. Also worked as Digital Video Production Head at Asian College of Journalism , Chennai, training students in Photojournalism , News & Documentary Camera Work & Television Studio Production.
In the recent past he worked with Eminent Cinematographer P C Sreeram on R. Balki’s film Shamitabh & Mani Ratnam ‘s film OK Kanmani .
Currently he is working as Visiting Faculty at NID Ahmedabad , Loyola College , Chennai among several others media institutions and also Conducting Independent online Academic modules on Cinematography and Photography.
He is the lead faculty for the Light & Life Academy module on Digital Filmmaking
