7 groups, 7 spaces, 700 radiant lamps, a day dedicated to celebrating light! The first of the festivals with Batch 20 at LLA, Karthigai Deepam, was spectacular!
Dressed in colourful traditional attire, each group was eager to get started with the festivities. With many unique ideas, the students brought each space on campus to life with flowers, rangoli, fairy lights and diyas.
The Akkas and Annas worked enthusiastically with the students to ensure that this event was a special one.
This festival dedicated to light was the perfect beginning to celebrate with the new batch and bring the LLA family together!
Here’s what some of the students had to say about their experience:
“This is the first time I did rangoli. I had a great time!
The design we went with was centered around the LLA Logo. In the middle, we added a symbol of gratitude, thanking the LLA family.”
– Bharati, Batch 20
“This is the first time I’m celebrating this festival. The experience was awesome!
We decorated the stairs outside the library. It was a proper workout, like 50-60 squats, quite an interesting experience for me.
Once the diyas were lit, it was such a beautiful sight, like nothing I have seen before in my life.”
– Samyak, Batch 20
