Shailja Bhatnagar (LLA alumni) a talented photographer, had a keen interest in Fine Arts right from her school days. As she grew older, this deep love for fine arts drew her closer to the art & science of Photography. She did her graduation in Fine arts from Jamia MilliaIslamia where she found herself getting closer to photography as a subject.
She loved the touch and feel of the camera and went trigger-happy. For 7 years she worked as a photographer covering everything from weddings to baby portraits, from photojournalism to fine arts photography and chose to finally focus herself on product photography and photography for restaurants, while simultaneously de-stressing with travel and nature and fine arts photography.
She joined LLA in 2015, knowing full well that she was firmly entrenched in Photography and that she would be pursuing it as a career for the rest of her life. Here, she specialized in Fine Art, Architecture & Interiors and Food & Beverages, as she wanted to perfect her art in order to give her clients better images and superior quality work.
Shailja has been sharing her Fine Arts images onto social media – Instagram to LinkedIn. Out of the blue, came this pleasantly surprising call from Uchaan Art Gallery, Gurugram. The Organisers of this gallery told her that they were impressed with her works and what’s more, also invited her to take part in the India Art Festival.
Shailjawill be exhibiting her work for the first time ever at the India Art Festival, which runs from the 23rd-25th November 2018 at Thyagaraj Sports Complex, New Delhi.
Light & Life Academy (LLA) is always thrilled to see its alumni do well and soar new heights. In the case of Shailja, LLA is particularly happy that her patience, grit, perseverance and sustained hard work over the years are beginning to bear fruit and bringing her the recognition that she deserves. LLA wishes her the very best.
