As a former engineering student, turning my life towards the world of photography was a hard choice. So I chose LLA as my palette to nurture my art side. So I came, vulnerable and scared, everything felt like a blockbuster movie, huge and lifelike. Every faculty walked into our life and taught us photography from their point of view. With a wide spectrum of learning, we became, in the end, professional photographers. Confident and with the mindset to capture the world in our canvas, we continue our journey.

In the most formal words I can muster to describe the class, “Mind Blown” is all I can say. Iqbal sir’s passion – for not just photography but for teaching as well- is a constant inspiration and keeps us on our toes. His eye for details is definitely something to learn from. It was an extremely informative class. What I liked was that sir did not just showcase the final image but he also gave us a glimpse of how the interior looked before the photograph was taken. It really gave us a perspective on how we can improvise upon an existing place from a photographic perspective.

Light and Life has taught me more than just photography. Right from the faculties to the akkas and annas, they have taught me to be a good person first. I will cherish these days for the rest of my life and will do it all over again in a heartbeat.

LLA is a hub for photographers.

It is the place I go to, to see groups of photographers discussing an image and continuously talking about the elements that make the image look good and how to improvise a shot. This is a place that tunes a person to appreciate life and the art of living through photography. LLA is not only a learning experience for students, but for the faculty as well!

‘The man who lights up the darkness’.  Day one of Iqbal sir’s class was so amazing that we literally didn’t want it to end. He is the magician with the camera as a wand who can change even the place we say is not beautiful into places that look like Ibiza. The one thing I think almost all in the class are going to remember is what he told us when he started the class & quote; “you can find light everywhere in this world” & quote; his optimism not only encourages us to be great photographers but also encourages us to be great human beings. I love being around him cuz he spreads this aura of positiveness which makes me feel like no other negative thoughts can destroy me. In short he is the teacher I have been looking for my entire life. He is awesome!
