The Architecture and Interior Photography specialisation was conducted by Moshin Taha. This year, the space shot was the Light & Life campus itself. It was a fully immersive session – from the day Mohsin arrived on campus, the students were involved in every step of the process – from the recce and planning to creating the final images.
“Architecture and Interior Specialisation with Mohsin Sir was a very different experience, especially in terms of scale. Most of what we’ve shot so far with lights was people and products – in this demo we shot various spaces across campus. There was a lot of running around – setting up lights and arranging the objects within the frame. It was a very interactive session where the whole batch was involved in creating the images and at the end of the day we all felt tired but in a fulfilled way.” – Smriti S
“Doing demo sessions in the college itself — initially, I was a little apprehensive about it. We come to college every day, and sometimes it starts to feel monotonous, seeing the same spaces as part of our day-to-day routine. But when Mohsin Sir lit up the whole auditorium so beautifully, it no longer looked like the same place we’re used to. It was amazing to see how a space can be transformed — how you can make it your own” – Sushmita Dutta
“Lighting played a very important role in architecture photography. And today we learned that even flat lighting can be good, and how using lighting according to the space can give a dramatic feel to it. The minute details of how we can create natural lighting with the use of flashlights and their angles — how to replicate nature itself — is the most important lighting technique I learnt from the session”. – Mahima P
At the end of the specialisation, students of Batch 24 went out and made their architecture and interior photography portfolios. Here are some of the images made by the students.
