The main purpose of the Photowalk by the students of this academic year, beyond taking advantage of the wonderful weather to take some truly beautiful pictures, was to expand the students horizons, to help them see the world from perspectives differing from their own, by seeing what caught the interest of their classmates and why.
A vacation of adventurous spirit, the Photowalk today added more joy to the already exciting environment. Light and Life Academy has made photography a more immersive & enjoyable experience. The walk gave us an opportunity to soak in the local flavor of the neighboring six villages that we passed on our route. I made use of the opportunity to capture images that truly spoke to me. Couldn’t have been more excited and can’t wait to look forward to the upcoming walks. – Divya Aneja
Today we went for a photo walk through the Nilgiri villages and it was a spell binding experience. It was a task to get up at 5 AM for a 6 AM pickup. However, I’m glad I went for it. We started from Lovedale station after a quick briefing from Iqbal Sir. The vistas on the way were way too beautiful to be put into words. We met many welcoming strangers on the way and colorful houses that were set up to be framed and made our job easier. We were enchanted by the valleys we saw on the way. We got interesting shots of people and landscapes. It was a 10-ish KM trek. We halted for tea and breakfast with some pearls of wisdom with our faculty members. The weather was really nice and cool. We walked like a big happy family who loved to photograph. All in all, it was awesome. I wish these photo walks are kept more often. I plan to go there soon on my own. – Mukul Mudgal
