Gina was born in Chicago and holds an MFA in Photo and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts. Her work has been exhibited around NYC and Europe, most recently at Grand Central Terminal, where she had a large-scale photo and video installation of her award-winning work The Sandhog Project. Her images are regularly published in national and international publications and advertisements.
Clients include: Time, New York Magazine, Universal Music Group, National Geographic, Life, Stern, Superga, Kmart-Sears HC, Parade, Popular Mechanics, and IFC Networks.
LeVay is a 2006 grant recipient from The Andrew Rhodes Fund for Young Artists at the Visual Arts Foundation, as well as one of Photo District News' 2005 top 30 emerging photographers and a top international discovery of the 2005 Photo España festival in Madrid. She is also an alumnus and current staff member of The Eddie Adams Workshop.
