This workshop is for the serious hobby photographer. You should have been taking pictures for at least a year with an SLR camera and should have a desire to learn new ways of getting more creative. This is not a fundamental course on how to handle cameras.

* pushing the limits of your Digital camera and lenses
* Understanding the beauty and subtleties of light
* The critical role of colour in an image
* Composition/design in creating a good image
* On-camera flash techniques
Teaching methodology
The workshop schedule includes slide shows, demonstrations, photography sessions, as well as critique sessions of your work. From day two, you will be photographing every day, as well as going on field trips to beautiful places nearby. The photographic subjects will include portraits, nature and cityscapes.
Course fees: Rs.11,000/-
Accommodation and food
Rs.4000/-. Double room, twin sharing basis, food and local transport. (Ooty-Academy-Ooty and field trip) for the duration of the course.
What to bring
A 35mm Digital SLR camera and one or two lenses. Optional equipment (useful, if you could bring them): a portable on camera flash, a tripod and filters like Polarising filter. A laptop loaded with Photoshop 7 or 8 or 9 will be useful. You must have working knowledge of your Camera and the use of your Laptop.
Please note
Bring warm clothing as cold weather can be expected during this part of the year. Wollen Sweaters, Jackets, windcheaters, MonkeyCaps, Socks, Sneakers will be usefull.
